This is my third Wurkkos light and it is quickly becoming my favorite. I like it for a number of reasons: 1.) the power (both in lumens and battery life) 2.) ease of use and 3.) sturdiness. Wurkkos really thought this one out well. It’s not small, but the power to size ratio is really good for just about any use. No worries about a singe cell light losing power when you need it most. No fumbling around with confusing interfaces. The magnetic twist ring is super easy to use with gloves on or for anyone who picks it up. I like that the light came with well-lubed double o-rings which shows that they are paying attention to details. The triple led head shoots out a brilliant beam that is bright but not in a harsh way. It’s a neutral-to-cool color beam that gets the job done. I love that it comes with nice batteries, extra o-rings, a strap that can come in handy underwater where dropping your light could make for dangerous situations and their basic packaging shows that they put their money into the light and not fancy packages. It’s not an edc sized light, doesn’t have a zillion modes that most folks won’t ever use, but I think the plusses outweigh the negatives by a long shot.

The Wurkkos WK20S is a new diving flashlight, powered by a 18650 battery. The Wurkkos WK20S uses a magnetic push-button switch. The WK20S features a SST40 LED, nicely centered in a smooth reflector which gives a good amount of throw.Fit & Finish:The quality of the WK20S seems great. The anodizing is has a nice, satin feel to it. It has a good solid heft to it. The threads are square and smooth. The bezel on mine is not glued on, though the tube appears to be glued to the head. The switch has quite a bit of travel. The tailcap has double o-rings for a tight seal when diving. The head has at least 3 o-rings: at the lens cover threads and both sides of the glass, which is quite thick.Operation:The UI of the WK20S is about as easy as it gets. There are four modes (Low, Medium, High, and Turbo) with apparently no Strobe or SOS functions. Press once to turn on, press again to rotate upward through the modes. Long-press to turn off, though the long-press is actually quite short. Once the battery runs down a bit, the WK20S actually just skips Turbo instead of quickly stepping down, which makes it appear to only have 3 modes. There is mode memory.ConclusionThis is a great flashlight, whether you use it to go diving or just general use. I did a quick dunk test for a while in a bathtub, and there was no indication of any water ingress, no condensation afterward, nothing. You really can’t go wrong with buying this flashlight. Wurkkos is becoming one of my favorite manufacturers, they’re building high quality flashlights at budget prices.I highly recommend buying this flashlight.

This flashlight is designed for diving… but I don’t do much diving. So I see it as a really waterproof and sturdy outdoor light. It is bigger than most EDC 18650 lights and has a simple user interface with set brightness levels. It is surprisingly bright actually and came in very handy when we had an extended power outage recently. Nothing like changing diapers in the dark, and the WK20S came to the rescue. It also does come with everything you need; battery, charger, extra o rings, and lanyard. Would this be my first recommendation as an every day carry light? No, it wouldn’t. But if you’re looking for a diving or outdoor light and don’t want a complex UI, this could be a good option for you!FYI the first one I got had an issue with the button / board but it was very quickly replaced by the seller and the replacement works perfectly.

I purchased this flashlight for my best friend and soul mate. It’s her first “good” flashlight so I wanted to get her something easy to use yet dependable and very sturdy, something that can take some abuse and is ‘failsafe’, if you will. The first night she came back from a walk using it I asked her giw it was, but before I could finish she gave me a big kiss and hug, smiling ear to ear! Told me it’s by far the best flashlight she’s ever had, and that now she gets it. She now understands quality over quantity when it comes to your personal light. She really likes the ease and efficiency of the power button and absolutely loves the simplicity in toggling through the modes. We go fox watching at dusk and after dark, so it’s nice to get able to switch so easily between brightness depending on how close the critters are….don’t wanna blind them! She did say the only drawback, for her personally, is the size. She wasn’t expecting tge increased size compared to here other lights, but I can tell you she got over that within a day. She said she’ll NEVER go back! I for one, just love how she can’t wreck it due to water, because it’s submersible!!! Thank you Wurkkos!!! Now to gift for Christmas!!

Update:I was contacted by the seller who apologized for my experience and offered to send a replacement free of charge. The replacement light does work as advertised and does not have the switch problems the original did. The pattern is a little less focused than other lights I own which I like. It does illuminate very long distance. I have yet to take it on a dive so I can’t comment on its water resistance. I am not sure if I got a lemon with the original one. Either way I would recommend thoroughly testing it prior to diving as you should with any piece of equipment.Original review:I purchased this light as a backup for diving. I received it in good condition and the light had a good build, good selection of intensities, good battery duration and appeared to seal well. The problem was that during the testing phase the switch was unreliable. Sometimes it would work well and sometimes it would turn off during mode cycling or even worse refuse to turn on. After leaving it alone and trying again later it would work properly again. Since I was using this as a backup light reliability is paramount. Since I cannot trust this light to work every time in an emergency I had to return it and continue my search. If reliability is less important to you this light worked great otherwise.
