   I’m rating this splash jacket a 3 because of leaking wrist seals. After using this jacket while kayaking my shirt underneath was wet up to the elbows after a few hours of paddling. I tightened the “velcro” straps as tight as they would go but they slowly leak when your hand goes above your elbow while paddling. I would rate the jacket a 4 or 5 in other areas. The material is comfortable and breathable. It has nice pockets and it fit comfortably. For other sports I’d imagine it would keep you quite dry as long as your hands don’t go above your elbows. I returned the jacket because of the inability to keep the water from running down into my arms. If they could “re-engineer” the wrists cuffs to prevent the leakage I’d rate it 5 stars.

   Correction: The evaluation I wrote yesterday was not meant for the Windrider..It was for another whom has not responded…Windrider has an excellent product and although I am returning their Spray Top…it is only because it is too large…after I return it – I re-order same but in a Large size as opposed to X-Large..Sorry Windrider for you are an excellent company

   Bought this splash jacket for a high water rafting trip in the North West. It was superb.Fit: weigh 200 lb, 6′ 0″. broad shoulders and long arms. The XL was perfect. It was cold weather. Underneath I wore a long sleeve fleece, a farmer john wetsuit, another larger fleece and the jacket overtop. Lots of water over top, I was dry as a bone underneath. MINIMAL sweating/ inside condensation. Will be great for cool weather wet sailing. Waist and sleeves and neck were waterproof.wife got same jacket. Thin 125 lb, 5’8″. medium fit her well with same undergarments.Pocket in sleeve was very handy for a little camera.Would recommend strongly. Great for rafting!!

   This jacket fits well. I haven’t used it on the water yet, but I am very hopeful that it will help keep me warmer and dryer when kayak sailing on cooler days.

   Excellent product. Wore on the Cheoah river in 40 degree weather. I stayed dry and warm the entire trip. Definitely recommend.

   I have been using it to kayak on the Chesapeake Bay on calm days in Nov/Dec. I like the velcro at the wrist. I don’t have a problem with water there like another reviewer because I have drip rings on my paddle so the water never gets to my hands. I am 5’10” 230 and got the XL, lots of room, plenty of pockets and looks nice.

   This top not only keeps me dry on the boat from seaspray but also keeps me warm when a cold wind is blowing as it acts like a windbreaker. The Velcro adjustments are sturdy and keep water out. Also it fits perfectly yet is roomy enough to wear your PFD underneath if you want.
