**Edited increase to 4 stars from 3. Per the last point in my “cons” section below, customer service fixed this issue within an hour of my first email to them. I received the 4th arm a few days later and now the set up is complete. Really noteworthy customer service! Good stuff. **I’m a fan of this product. It got half the job done that I need, so far. It’s very close to bumping to 5 stars.Pros:- Very easy to install.- Large arms easily accommodate the rooftop box seen in the photos here.- Feels sturdy to the garage ceiling joists. I’m not worried about this thing coming down, provided I don’t overload it.- Met my need perfectly — at least half way. Read below.Cons:- You may be able to tell that the machining of the product is not perfect yet. The drop down posts are not square to the ceiling plate, so the posts hang down a bit off-plumb and a bit twisted. Thus, even squaring the ceiling mounts some distance apart, the arms end up being off and not entirely parallel. Still, it’s minor and did the trick.- You may also be able to see that one of the arms has a distinct upward cant to it. This is another machining problem. For my purposes, it’s not a big deal, but beware.- Finally, you’ll see that I only have 3 arms mounted. The fourth arm came unfinished and didn’t have a hole drilled into it for locking into the post’s spring lock. I’ve emailed customer service to ask about an exchange of this arm and if they’re responsive, will gladly upgrade this review to 4 stars.

Bought this to store three SUPs in my garage. They’re all inflatable SUPs so we could store them in their bags but this is much better. They’re up and out of the way. Mind you, you have to have the required clearance above your garage for these to work effectively. We had more space then I expected so it worked amazingly. Got my boards up off the ground and out of the way. In my garage, if I can hang it from the ceiling and utilize the overhead space I’m happy – keeps things up off my floor and way from the bugs making homes in them. It’s sturdy as well, hold all three SUPs and all the paddles without breaking a sweat. Great items – wish I had bought this years ago.

The board hanger was pretty straightforward to install on the garage ceiling. It seems sturdy and shouldnโt have any trouble holding several boards. I put them 4 feet away from each other, which seems to work well for my 8 foot board. I have two boards on it now, but will probably stack a few more on top.

I was a little hesitant to use these racks based on some reviews and the use of the supplied lag bolts but when you pre-drill pilot holes prior to installing the lag bolts there is no issue. I installed my first rack at a rental with no issues. I then moved to a new house and re-installed the same rack and purchased another rack, all is good. I really like the racks, you don’t occupy wall or garage floor space. I have one rack holding two SUP’s and one rack holding two long boards. Very stable and they work great!

Drilled the track into the rafters in the garage using some XL hardware, adjusted the height to get the boards as high as possible, stuck a SUP and a couple boards on the padded hanger bars, sat back and enjoyed the space created and the now clutter free corner where those boards used to sit. Totally worth it for me.

My son put this in his garage to hold his large paddle board. Worked perfectly. Easy to install. Seems to be well made. Great for saving wall and floor space.

While designed to SUPs and the like, this works perfectly for my Thule Motion XT L cargo carrier on one side and various other items on the other. This is easy to install after finding your ceiling joists, and it’s great that the arms can be installed either parallel to the joists on a multi-joist installation or perpendicular for installation using a single joists (as in my set up). Looking at and handling the support arms and brackets gives me the impression that this rack will support its claimed weight of 75 pounds per side or 150 total pounds. The only small issue I had were the detents that lock the arms into place – they didn’t pop back out under their spring pressure once compressed to get the arms on the brackets. This was easily solved by removing the end caps from the arms and finding something to press the spring through the arm, getting the detents to pop. Minor issue, but I feel like securing the spring better in the bracket at manufacturing would solve the problem. Other than that, installation was straight forward, and it is nice to have the cargo carrier stored out of the way.
