There are a few outlet testers out there, including another one by the same brand. This one is decidedly easier to read and understand than the ones without digital readouts. With this tool, all you need to do is look at the screen and the readout will tell you everything you need to know. The ones without the screen use code lights. Code lights means that you need to memorize which lights mean what. With this tester, all you need to do is look at the screen, no referring back to codes, no dealing with blinking lights, just look at the read out and you are good to go. This product works well and is very reasonably priced.

This product is pretty straightforward. I highly recommend this small purchase when moving into a new apartment/home to ensure that all the outlets are SAFE. Safety is the most crucial when electricity is involved, especially when dealing with outlets that should be GFCI protected, such as anything in the bathroom and kitchen area. Easily test everything with this device, in a clean and user-friendly display.

Save time and be safe by checking GFCI outlets and outlet Voltage with one tool. No need to get your multimeter out to check outlet voltage when you can do it with this tool while checking the GFCI outlet. I’m all for tools that save time and make our lives safer at the same time. It makes perfect sense but I’ve never seen a tool combine both functions in one like this one does.

Used this when wiring a additional bath needing outlets and switches. Really you need to know if you are dealing with a live wires. Easy to use and see if current is flowing.

Like many, I had previously purchased a similar type of tester, one with 3 lights and a printed grid explaining how to interpret them.This Klein test is so much better and easier to use. 2 lights, basically pass and fail. The bright, very readable display tells you everything you need to know about the wiring and voltage without needing to refer to a chart.If you need a tester of this type, skip the cheaper ones and get this Klein tester. For a few $ more you’ll have a tester that is incredibly simple to use and a lot less frustrating.
