There arenβt that many different paddle floats on the market but NRS makes one of the best in my opinion. This paddle float is well constructed with dual air chambers for redundancy and extra floatation. I always carry one of these with me when Iβm doing any offshore sea kayaking. The mesh material at the bottom allows the paddle float to drain easily if water gets inside it. I keep mine attached to the top of my boat on the rear deck.Even if you know how to roll your kayak it can never hurt to bring one of these along just in case you need to wet exit. One thing I would recommend is to practice using your paddle float a few times in calm water. This float is big enough that it should easily attach to pretty much any kayak paddle, even larger sized blades.

Completed a flatwater kayak safety course and learned how to do a paddle float self-rescue with the NRS. A good thing to know. The NRS is very effective, easy to inflate/deflate in the water. Quality materials. Although I have not tried it, I am told this makes a good camp pillow! Highly recommend.

excellent float , keeps paddle above water when entering a kayak in deep water. I don’t use it often, but I would buy this one again

Haven’t had the need or chance to use it yet, however I have used other products of NRS and so far they have met my expectations.

Slipped it over my paddle to check for proper fit then inflated it. Haven’t used it on the water yet but it looks it will work as advertised.

Get one of these! Super easy to use and stow. Great for practice and to know how to use before you need it.

…about the screw locks on the inflation valves. When you are doing rescues in cold water they’re a little difficult to handle. Also the bag has a tendency to slip off the paddle unless you really tighten the straps. The drainage mesh port could be bigger or easier to drain.
