This is the most comfortable life vest I have ever had! It’s light, open, supportive (I tested the functionality in the lake and it works great). My favorite thing about it is the shoulder/neck design that does not ride up and choke you like most life vests. The range of motion is amazing, I can row in my kayak for hours with complete freedom. I honestly forget I am even wearing it!My only complaint is that you really do look like a total potato with it on. It sticks out quick a bit in the front so it *looks* a bit bulkier than most life jackets, though it does not feel bulky at all. I personally go for comfort over fashion any day and do not mind the trade off at all, but fashion lovers should beware. Otherwise, this is a 5 start product.I love this vest and never want any other kind!

I was skeptical about this brand but after trying them out I now own 3 of their styles. I am 5’5″ 210 lbs. These work with my body very well with the side straps. Once seated correctly it kept me floating well in the lake and slow rivers. It haven’t needed to find out about rapids or tidal rivers, but then ones i own are clearly not rated for that. Read the labels and get what you need for the water you are going too. This company and their products will take good care of you and your family.

I originally used cheap life jacket to get started with kayaking (one of those that came in a 4-pack for $30). But it was bulky, hot, and limited my range of movement. This is SO much better. I’ve taken it on two trips (one was a 4-hour, 8 mile trip) and it was extremely comfortable. Range of movement is excellent and the various mesh areas keep things from getting too warm underneath. The only downside is the back. As advertised, the foam on the back is much higher, making it more comfortable in a low kayak seat. And I’m sure it would, but my kayak seat back is higher. It still gets in the way. But I don’t see how they could design it any other way.As a casual, once-a-week kayaker, I’d definitely buy this again. I’d have to spend a LOT more to get something that could do the job better.

I tried several life vests before I settled on this Onyx MoveVent. I wanted a good range of motion in the arms, straps that didn’t irritate my neck and a high back that would sit above my kayak seat. This life vest is great. I’d definitely recommend it. I’m a women’s small in shirts, jackets, etc. and the XS/S fit me perfectly.

Great fit. I like that it has a zipper rather than multiple buckles. Easy on/off. Allows for good mobility kayaking. I am usually a size 4, small chested. The small fit fine. The whistle and zipper pocket are great added features. Vent in back prevents overheating.
