first off all, iโm super excited for these. love the color and they seem really durable. BUT. trying to get these suckers on is a workout in itself. my paddle is 30mm, but these grips did not want to go on it. i read the other reviews for tips. one grip went on with some dawn power wash but the other wouldnโt budge. i literally tried everythingโฆ i have to give a shout out to whoever suggested ky jelly. save yourself some trouble and order some lube along with these!

I read many reviews before purchasing these hand grips for my paddle. Despite many of them being accurate in describing the difficulty in getting them set in the right place on the paddle handle, I purchased them anyway. The same reviews also described these as being amazing. All of them were on point. These are great quality grips but they are a pain in the rear to get all the way onto the paddle as well as trying to fine tune the location to suit an individual’s needs. Even though I still haven’t been able to get them to move to the exact location I would want them they still make a HUGE difference in paddling. Without them I would get blisters between my thumb and forefinger and now I don’t. They are absolutely worth the frustration to put them on. FYI: The difficult installation is not because of a product lacking quality, it is because once you get them on you don’t need them moving around on you. They are the epitome of anti slip technology. PURHCASE THEM!

Not the easiest to install but well worth the effort! Before I got these, I developed blisters by both of my thumbs. They are a little thicker than I expected, as I have small hands but it didnโt take long to get use to them and nowโฆnow more blisters! Yay!

I would only change one thing on these kayak paddle grips…improve the fit and gripping power. On the one side where I allow the paddle to rotate (blades are in offset position to better cut through the wind when out of the water) the grip does not stay in position and migrates toward the center of the paddle. When I’m out for several hours, that grip actually isn’t even under my hand by the time I return to shore. The other grip, where I’m applying steady heavy pressure, holds in position fine. I LOVE the color varieties and the softness of the grips. The directions to put them on the paddle are GREAT!. I’m going to try plumbers tape under the rotation side and see if that helps hold the one side in position better.

These are just what I needed. I tried gloves first to reduce blisters, but wet gloves are not very comfortable. After reading the reviews, I was concerned that these would be hard to fit onto the paddle. However, I did not find this to be the case. These installed quickly and easily and actually even slide around when water gets under them. I found this to be a positive as I can change my hand position on the paddle and the grip moves as well under my hand. I am very happy with these and I am ordering two more sets for other paddles. I hope this helps with your decision to give these a try.

While they are not too easy to install, once you get them on, theyโre perfect. Very comfortable grip. I suggest trying the oar, in a sitting position, marking the oar with a piece of tape so you know where you want the grip to go. This worked for us.

These werenโt the easiest to install but werenโt exceptionally hard either. The issue I had was that there was a thin rubber coating over the grip sections of my paddle and the foam did NOT want to slide over it, no matter how wet both were. I wasnโt sure I was going to like the foam grips so didnโt want to cut the pre-installed thin gripping.I did eventually wrestle them on and am SO glad I did. Dang. What a difference!1. Itโs a nice change knowing exactly where to place your hands. No more rebalancing the paddle. Grab and go after the initial adjustment.2. After several hours out paddling, there is far less strain on the hand and palm. It creates a more comfortable grip that lessens pressure on the hands.I canโt say anything about the longevity of the product. I got them late in the season. We will see how they hold up through the winter and what happens with regular use in the spring.

If you love kayaking then these are a must have. One side is easier to get on than the other. Makes holding the paddle more comfortable. Controls blisters. Love the bright colors. Buying another set for the other paddle. Hopefully, theyโll last. ??
