I’m an absolute absolute paddleboarding beginner. If you are too, then this review is for you.I’d read a bunch of reviews about this and to be fair I think those are from more advanced users. And most don’t apply to beginners. The things I liked:1. Easy to fill up- The pump is single action and takes me exactly 5 minutes (i timed it) to fill the board to 12psi. The pump feels like a reasonable quality piece of kit. Not too good but not too rubbish either. A lot of people have complained about the pump in other reviews, i didn’t find any reason to complain. Infact I’d bought an attachment to connect the board to my car inflator but haven’t felt the need to use it.2. The colours – it is a beautiful looking board. The colours are vibrant and the board is very eye catching. Ofcourse this can be very subjective.3. It feels well built – nothing on the board feels cheap. The quality of the handle, the bungee cord, the inlet valve all feel like heavy duty.4. Very stable and easy to maneuver – it is extraordinarily stable. Ideal if you’re a beginner. Not to say that i didn’t fall off of it. I did. But its a very stable board otherwise and generates a sense of confidence for a new boarder.5. Carrying capacity – the picture is of one such test. 4 women. Totaling up to about 170 kg. Didn’t seem like a problem. Rated at about 150kgs.6. 3 fin setup – gives you choices and options for stability and maneuverability. The only board in this range where i saw the option for 3 fins.Things that could be better1. The bag – its a low quality unbranded, plain black bag. Not sure how long this will last but it just about does the job for now. EDIT – I contacted customer service about the poor quality of the bag and how it was starting to get damaged and they were very very responsive – they offered me an option for their grey carry bag – which you see on the listing or a $30 refund to purchase my own bag – I have opted for the latter. Will update this review as and when I receive the new bag. Irrespective a huge thumbs up for CC responsiveness and customer focus.2. The leash – should’ve been a little longer or a telephone cord type. It gets caught in the fins sometimes. Especially when you’re getting back on after hitting the drink and you have 3 fins on. You also can only comfortably mount from one side – depending on which foot you’re wearing the leash on.3. The valve – on my second use, after pumping it up, as soon as i released the inlet hose the valve let pretty much all of the air out. This was fixed with a valve tightening tool that comes in the bag. I was just a bit surprised to see this on such a new board. Perhaps this happens often. As a noob i don’t really know if this is an issue. These are very minor issues compared to the massive pluses for this board. Real steal if you get it around $200.

Pumping the board up with the supplied pump is quite a work out so I ordered an electric pump specifically for a paddle board and it made short work of pumping it up! I’ve never been on a paddle board before but once I figured out where to stand and got my sea legs it was very easy!!I bought the board at the end of last season and did not get a chance to to try it so it was almost 11 months before my first use. After the second use the board developed a slow leak at the valve which made the board not as stable and difficult to use. I contacted the company and after several attempts to resolve the problem remotely they sent me a brand new board!! There was no hassle no question!! They promised to help me resolve the issue and they did what they promised!! This is what customer service should be!!I own 2 of their paddle boards and I could not be happier!

I love this SUP!! I’ve taken it out four times now, three times with the dog and once with my sister and the dog. It’s really sturdy and solid, easy to pack around, pack up, and get to the water. It’s a bit stiff in the beginning, but after the first few times it gets easier. (Tip: I use a twig to help push down the lever on the little wedge that holds the fins in place.) The accessories are great, but the pump sucks. I literally had to use my body weight to push the handle down as the pressure built. I replaced it with this pump which I love: Solstice by Swimline SUP High Pressure Pump. There are two settings. I start it on “2” and and finish with “1” when it starts getting hard to pull the handle up. It’s so much easier. I started out using it like a sit-a-top kayak because the dog made it tippy and the water was choppy and I was afraid we’d go over. But the fourth time it was calm and I was able to stand. The paddle is not bad. Overall it’s a win.

I am brand spanking new to the world of sup boarding. I’m typically a kayaker so standing up has been challenging for me, but I’m getting there. This board does feel really stable, tracks straight, and while I have been able to stand up on it a handful of times, my legs always start quivering because I’m using muscles I’m not used to using, and they start feeling weak after just a couple minutes. I’m hoping this goes away with practice. Otherwise this board is almost perfect, and it really moves! Doesn’t take much paddling and you’ll be zooming along! My only wishes are that it had a D ring on the front to attach a guide wire if I decide to strap it to the roof rack of my car (not a huge deal, there is one on the back so I usually just load it backwards) and in the future I’ll probably upgrade to a board that has anchor points to attach a seat if I want to. Otherwise, it’s a great board for beginners like me. More seasoned folks might want a board with a couple more features.P.S. at first I thought the pump wasn’t working because the psi wasn’t reading, but keep pumping… you’ll get your arm workout for the day but eventually the needle will move.

A little hard to get to 15 psi with the hand pump that came with it so had to buy electric pump. Also the paddle lock isn’t secure so the handle moves up & down. The paddleboard is sturdy and I think will be a good ride once I get a new paddle

This board is big and stable, I recommend getting an electric pump so you can use your energy to paddle in the water. I used mines 4 times during last days of summer on creeks and beaches and it held up pretty good. For the price I would buy this board again!
