Apparently life vests go out of season at many local stores… Amazon sold this for under $30 and it is just what I needed. I was on vacation and had this shipped in one day.The vest is very comfortable, at times I did not know I had it on. The vest has a zipper and one snap buckle across one’s waist/mid section. I purchased an extra large, but I could personally had smaller. Thankfully, the adjustable straps brought it down to my size. I left it at “mom’s” just for others who may be larger to wear it.I have another life vest that is made for fishing/kayaking and it has many pockets. This vest only has 2 small pockets. At first I was not happy about that, but I decided to wear my fishing vest over the life vest. This turned out to be a great solution. So great that I will be doing the same over my other fishing life vest.

The jacket seems well made for the price, and fits as expected when you reference the sizing chart for the product. For use in a canoe, or sit-on kayak, this would be a perfectly comfortable, practical vest. My intent however was to use it with my Old Town Vapor 10- Angler, a sit in, with a taller back to the seat. This style of vest, like a lot of others, has flotation material in the top half of the back only. The ‘foam’ is quite rigid, and when in a normal position on the back, it felt like I was sitting with a 2 x 4 just below the shoulder blades, with no support on the lower back. Even worse, if it ‘rides up’, the bottom edge of the ‘foam’ winds up sitting on/ hung up on, the top of the seat’s back. This essentially lifts the whole jacket up about 6 inches or so, at least for me. Short of putting a small waterproof pillow behind the lower back, it was unusable for me. For any other application though, it’s a nice life vest.

I did not purchase my true size because I assumed this might run small and this was the only product that would arrive on time for my trip. With that being said order your true size and it will fit perfect. I ordered XL, I should have order M or L…in water the vest felt too big for me.

I purchased this as my first kayak vest. It does a pretty good job for the most part. The fitment is ok, it has pretty good straps and zippers all are smooth. The quality for the price is very good. I’ve used it 4 times over the course of about two months. I like it but my only compliant is it tends to ride up every once in a while when paddling hard. Other than that the price and build quality is great.

it has only two pockets no good places to clip cutters and pliers to i used to have vests years ago that had lots of loose pockets you could put things in while wearing vest now this is the best i could find two tight pockets no flaps cant attach things or put a small box of tackle in pocket its ok as a vest but not warm for cold spring fishing and not cool enough for summer so it does nothing well just a compromise of ideas i guess

I was thrilled to give this life jacket a 2nd chance, I went with used because it was at half the price and it basically sits in the boat but we’re required to have one. Looks in perfect condition, comfortable and good fit!
