Just got into kayak fishing a couple months ago. I have a pedal kayak and wear this all day while I am out there. Also bought the NRS knife to look tough around the other fisherman. Product fits great, comfortable, feels really quality. Only complaint is I wish it had a specific pocket that fit my iPhone to make it easy to do my monster catch selfies. It fits in a pocket that is designed for something else so not perfectโฆbut I would probably buy this one again if I had a choice.

I wanted a pfd that provided full protection and storeage capability. The NRS Chinook provides both. I feel totally safe with it on, it is very comfortable for a full pfd on my kayak, and it provides on-person storage for my phone, sunglasses, and other items that need to be secured.

It fits well and you can move around

Overall, very good PFD for kayak fishing. Comfortable, ez to adjust. Quality could be better as in workmanship, stitching etc. For example, one shoulder strap is sewn off kilter from the other. when both shoulder straps adjusted the same, one is positioned higher than the other. Doesn’t affect performance, just the crooked look gets noticed.BIG CON: neither of the smaller front pockets will hold & zip close with IPhone-12 Pro Max, especially with a protective case on the phone. The phone will barely fit in the larger left pocket, but then this takes away from that pocket’s internal strap holders for lip balm, other small essentials to have in that pocket when fishing. Nor will those 2 right front pockets contain a 5w size VHF portable radio either. Also, no D-rings to attach gear leash retainers, instead fabric tabs with 2 holes. Not sure if these fabric tabs/holes will be good in the long run. Wish mfg added the D-Rings like their C-Vest Kayak PFD has.

Comfortable enough to wear all day with tons of pockets and storage. I can cinch the straps all the way and it’s snug enough you could pull me up by it. The front has a zipper and a snap so you don’t have to feel strapped in. The foam is well fitted and soft, unlike the hard blocks my $30 vest had in it. Great range of motion for fishing and paddling. Would definitely recommend

Very comfortable. Easy to adjust. Why reach for tools when you can store them in the one of the pockets?

I like the high back. My kayak has a high backed seat and this is the only PFD that has worked. Lots of Pockets.

This PFD was supper comfortable. It did not ride up and at times I didnโt even feel like I had anything on. I love all the pockets. So far it hasnโt gotten stained which is what I was worried about considering the bright color.
