*Update: I contacted Bending branches and they are sending a replacement paddle.The paddle is beautiful. I bought it for my husband for Christmas and wanted to get him something nice for our new canoe. I read a lot of reviews and decided upon this one. We used it once and stored it in a temperature controlled, safe spot indoors. The second time we decided to try to use it, we noticed a large crack down the paddle where the wood panels join.

At just over $100, this is a very light, well made paddle. Presents well and everyone who looks at it takes a double take. Sized right, it is a step above the others. I think this model will last, and the company seems to stand behind their products as others have said. MADE IN THE USA…..for me, it is a must buy and a great choice.

This company has been around for a long time. I got my first Bending Branches canoe paddle as a gift in the early 1970’s. It has been a great companion on my canoe trips! The quality is still first-rate.

Love these elegant paddles from Bending Branch and have brought them several times, they never wear out due partly to the clear protection over the tips so you can push off from a rock, no problem!

Very smooth and elegant paddle. The angle of the grip gives a comfortable and powerful grasp which leads to a very efficient stroke. It is a joy to use. The only disadvantage is that it is too beautiful to just toss around. You will want to care for it.
