I am 6’2″ 198lbs. My profile is “straight up”, no beer belly, and I do not taper upwards like an athlete. I wear Size L off the rack for all other clothing. I bought a Size XL for this rashguard after reading prior reviews. This rashguard fits perfectly and snugly. Any more snug, and I would have a hard time getting in. Any more snug and I would get that sausage squeeze effect that softbodies get when wearing compression clothing. If you are my size and buff at the shoulders, you might find this tight, but it will definitely highlight your muscularity. If you are my size and have a bit of a gut, I’m not sure how that will work out. I think it would look okay.I am buying this to wear while doing active sports, swimming in cool weather, paddling a kayak in cool weather, frolicking at the beach in cool weather.By the way, I like the color. I like the style. The sleeves fit nicely. The material feels nice and comfortable. In all other garments I prefer open-neck or v-neck. But I am buying this rashgard to keep me warm, so a snug collar is useful. This collar fits nicely, not too tight. If I lifted weights and had a thicker neck, I might move up a size to get a wider collar.I also bought a Tesla rashguard in XL. The Tesla is just a little looser. If I weighed 205 lb, the Tesla would probably fit me the way this Baleaf fits me at 198 lb.BTW, cool in this review is Texas cool, not New Hampshire cool.

I know what it feels like to have the sun penetrate my skin on my back with a regular shirt on. This isn’t going to stop all of the heat penetrating but it stops more then a regular shirt!*Note: It doesn’t dry faster then a regular shirt. I got it wet and it took forever to dry. But I like this because I want to wear this in the sun during the hot months and the wet of the shirt cooled me down in the Utah heat during my vacation.I bought the black with grey sleeves. I’m 6 foot 1 inch, 170lbs, initially I bought a medium but it was a tad too small on me. I ordered the Large and it fits perfect. Well not perfect the sleeves are a bit short. The fabric is a bit rubbery. This is a shot of me on the Colorado River in MOAB wearing the product.

I love these shirts. I wear them all summer. In the pool, at the beach, fishing, in the yard. It’s 80-90 degrees here in the summer. They look sharp enough to wear anywhere. I ordered two about 2 years ago and I just ordered more. I don’t like to get a lot of sun and I’ve never been burned in these. I also like the way they feel in the water, if the water is a little chilly I feel warmer. If its hot out, a wet shirt keeps me cool even though it dries fairly fast. I had never heard of Baleaf until I ordered these but the price is right. Well known brand names sell for $10-$20 more and I can’t imagine they are much better. I am happy to get 2 seasons out of these. They do start to stretch after a lot of use and wear, but I have not seen much fading or any rips/tears. Full disclosure, mine get heavy daily use in a chlorinated pool. I think that does a number on them. I rarely wash them and I air dry them. With occasional use these would last several years. I am 5’10 200 and I like the XL. If you look at the size chart, it does say to get an XL with my waist size so I would go by that. I normally wear a Large in other clothes so these are a tight fit. I could probably fit in a L but I’m looking for a looser comfortable fit and I think the sleeves would be too short. I don’t usually write reviews but I am now because I hope this company keeps cranking out great clothing.

Good for pool, not for beach

The rash guard felt pretty thick and high quality, but ripped after my 2nd time out. Thankfully the customer service is great and they refunded me in full!

The pull on long sleeve shirt is quality. Nice looking, washes great and was on sale. My husband is very particular with his clothing. He really likes this shirt. Will look for other Baleaf shirts.

I’ve worn this to the water park and tubing, and it was perfect. Didn’t get burned at all. Felt great wet, and dried well. It was a tad warm until I got it damp, but it was also 105ยฐ F in the Texas sun, so, I dont think that had anything to do with the shirt.
