Sturdy enough. Had to modify a couple of things, but not a bad product. Would consider buying again.

This rack is sturdy. My husband and I (in our mid 70s) put it together in less than an hour. Now our kayak is out of the way and waiting for a second one for summer fun!

Came delivered in one smaller box.. easy to follow instructions.. simple to build, took about 15mins. Very sturdy.Only drawback, the velcro straps need to be longer to accommodate wider kayaks.

Product was packaged very well, lots of bubble wrap to protect the finish, the hardware was well pkg’d and all accounted for. I had only 1 fairly minor issue while assembling.1) the holes for the three(3) parts that connect/bolt together at the bottom did not line up well. The required bolt would not insert. Just to keep things simple, I went to my local hardware store and purchased a diameter size smaller and this remedied the issue. I also purchased ‘lock nuts’ while there, just for the added security. I would suggest the manufacturer add these instead of the nickel bolt-nuts they provide.Otherwise, the instructions were easy, the assembled rack has multi-positionable arms to hold the kayak. The padding is of great quality and I really like the snap-straps for long-term winter storage. I did not add the support pads on the bottom 4-points of the rack since this is on outdoor ground instead of on the garage floor. But the screw in allowing you to adjust any of the four in order to be level n rest flat on the floor. Great product and Far Less $ than most! No need to pay hundreds$. ??

I wouldnt recommend buting this product. This thing is very sturdy but clearly not made with precision, which translates to a difficult assembly. It was VERY difficult to get the main bolts on that hold the frame together because the steel is just slightly bent where the bolts connect and the bolts are the bare minimum length. After wrangling with it for too long I had to forgo the flat washers and will try to buy longer bolts to get them on later. This whole thing could’ve been avoided with slightly longer bolts. It also shipped missing one end cap that I didn’t catch until it was all together so now I’m having to tape over the top end cap to keep it from filling with rain and debris while I hunt for a replacement cap piece that fits. After all of that, the straps just barely fit even with the two stands spread out farther than is recommended which adds strain on the bodies of the kayaks. Replacing the straps that have velcro sewn in is more than I want to do. It’s a shame because a couple small changes would make this an awesome rack instead of an expensive annoyance that still leaves me with a crappy storage solution and out not a small amount of money.

This really is a sturdy, well constructed and engineered kayak rack. I was thrilled to discover the innovative method for making height adjustments on the kayak cradles. The cradles have nice plush padding and strong thick tie down straps. The steel is heavy gauge and the powder coat was pristine. For only one reason did I deduct a star. The issue is a minor quality control concern. The four main bolts that assemble the t-base of each structure were approximately 1/4 inch too short. The bolt length plus lock washer and flat washer did not allow for an easy assembly of the nut that ties the pieces together. I had to tighten down and compress the metals together without the lock washer before I could get the nut threads started with all parts as designed. Unfortunately, that caused some of the powder coat to crack on one of the base pieces. Ultimately, still very satisfied.

I’m very satisfied with this purchase.Pros:These are really sturdy and pretty easy to put together. Attractive and well made. Separate stands to accommodate different kayak lengths.Cons:I wish they were on casters so they could be moved around the garage. And there was a telescoping stabilizer bar connecting the two individual stands bc we did put them on casters but they don’t move together. But overall, great product.
