At work, I have a larger set of these same wrenches, and I love them. I bought this pack because I lost my 4mm from the big pack, and it’s much more economical to buy these, and have backups for all my most common sizes, than to buy a single wrench. It’s already paid off, I lost my 5 soon after and I gave a coworker the 1.5 to replace one he lost.Of all the premium allen wrenches, I keep coming back to bondhus because they have the best ball ends. My Wiha set was prone to stripping screw heads, and my PB Swiss were prone to breaking the ball. I also love the length on these, and the shiny finish. They are slightly less grippy than allens with a black oxide finish, but I work with them every day doing machine maintenance and I never mind the difference.

I’m not an expert with tools, so I don’t know a lot about the whole “ball-end” functionality, but I guess that’s what convinced me this was a better investment than similarly-priced wrenches of the same size.I needed the 3mm wrench for my Mac Pro 2009 CPU upgrade project, which requires an “extra long” 3mm wrench according to many forums. Some forums suggested a 5″ long wrench, others said a bit smaller was okay, but either way I went looking for one long enough. To my surprise/anguish, NONE of the product details for these types of sets (not just this set, and not just on Amazon) seemed to list the length of the wrenches!! This is extremely frustrating. The only length listed was the length of the package itself, so I was left trying to estimate the length of the wrenches based on the ratio of their apparent length in the product image. Have no fear, though, I’m writing this review almost solely to post the length here for future buyers’ sanity. The measurements all exclude the length that starts at the bend for the small side (so it’s only the “useful” length of the neck shown below):1.5mm: 9cm2mm: 10cm2.5mm: 11.2cm3mm: 12.4cm (just under 5 inches!)4mm: 14cm5mm: 16cm6mm: 17cmThose are 1-2mm within accuracy as far as I could do with the ruler I had on my desk. I attached a picture for anyone needing further information. As for the actual usefulness of the wrenches for my project: the 3mm worked just fine for my Mac Pro heatsink. My only complaint (and this may be relevant to others with the same, or different, projects) is that the short arm is indeed very short and thin, especially for the smaller size wrenches. It doesn’t give you a lot of torque to work with, and I even felt like I might snap it at one point (I didn’t) when loosening a too-tight screw. Just something to consider… that’s why I docked one star from the set.
