Once they arrived, they instantly became my personal favorite allen/hex keys. The use these every day at my shop and they haven’t worn down whatsoever thus far and give you plenty of leverage to break torque. They are however, a few small issues. The outer sleeve that is color coded could, in some situations, make the tool too thick in diameter to access the hardware you’re trying to remove. I figured this would happen by looking at the pictures before purchase so I won’t dock any points. The other issue has to do with the size markings on the colored sleeves. It will start to wear off if wiped down with a parts cleaner but not immediately. Over time, the lettering has faded and I can barely see what the sizes are on 2 of my allen wrenches. I haven’t removed the sleeve to see if there is any markings in the metal itself but I am inclined to say there isn’t. Wera, if you happen to read this, please fix this by having some kind of more permanent markings in the metal.

Not sure if people got lemons but I’m a journeyman Millwright at a horizontal press shop, and I’ve used every one of these wrenches since I’ve bought them 2 months ago and haven’t had a problem with them. They really come in handy with badly damaged/old screws. The sleeves come in handy when you drop them inside a machine or absent mindedly set them down in a spot with low light. They beat the hell out of the husky/Pittsburgh/bondhus sets that seem to just blend into their surroundings or disappear. They also sell these wrenches individually unlike the wiha sets.

I am a Field Service Engineer for Scanning Electron Microscopes and routinely drop tools down inside the instruments where the chances of finding dropped items is doubtful. The multi color wrenches are a HUGE help in locating them amongst the miles of like color cables against a black background in a dark environment. The shape of the wrenches also helps with their use; they are longer and have a round body which is much more comfortable to handle. They are expensive, and overly so by about 20%.I gave the standard set a lower rating due to the wrench set holder. It should be in a holder like the metric set is. This Velcro abomination is too large and poorly made to effectively hold the wrenches if you could afford to haul it around. Promptly bought a small tool bag and threw the holder away; waste of valuable resources in the end due to a bad choice by Wera.

Extremely hard steel, that holds up to rigorous use. I bought both metric and SAE, and the metric set actually fits pretty well in the middle pocket of the nylon SAE pouch.German brand tool, made in Czech Republic.

Exactly what I expected. These things will still be working after I’m dead and buried.

As with all Wera tools, they quality is amazing. I have not had any issues with any of their products.I wish they had this in metric with the pouch but the pouch is available to purchase separately.Using these tools I did not see any slippage or rounding in the screws I was working on.

Itβs a great Allen key set. They are high quality and the case is great.I wish they also included a 9/64, which is of course one I really need.Other than that, I can definitely recommend this set.
